Monthly challenges

During October, November, January, and February, using "The Great Accessibility Board", you can unlock these special challenges that come with a prize! There’s a prize for the class in each category that wins each monthly challenge.

Remember that you will need to devote some time to these challenges. What do they consist of?

1. Complete the challenge:

Students will be encouraged to experience a daily situation by putting themselves in the shoes of a person with a disability.

2. Reflection:

Based on their experience and empathy, they should reflect on how they have felt, what barriers they have encountered, and the whole class should then imagine a solution.

3. Presentation:

Through a short video (like TikTok, with a maximum duration of 90 seconds). The videos created in each challenge must be uploaded to the teacher's private area.

Valuation criteria

The 90-second videos must meet the following requirements:

  • Analysis of the barrier, exemplify or explain the challenge or difficulty through an everyday situation.
  • Focus and empathise: explain the situation or challenge using empathy and understanding towards people with disabilities.
  • To improve the situation experienced, the idea is exemplified and highlighted to facilitate the daily lives of people with disabilities.

Here is an example that you can use as a guide for creating the monthly challenge video and including the video found here:
