The Grupo Social ONCE Contest is open to all students in Spanish public, state-subsidised and private schools in Special Education, Primary Education (years 3-6), Secondary Education, Basic Vocational Training, Pre-University or Vocational Training (Intermediate and Higher):
In addition, for the first time we are inviting Parents' Associations (AMPA) to participate. Any AMPA that is legally formed and registered in the corresponding register of educational centres that teach Infant, Primary, Secondary, Pre-University and/or Vocational Training nationwide may participate.
It doesn’t matter. The topic is completely different, as well as the creative projects requested of participants, so it is in reality a totally new contest.
To participate in the contest you may submit one piece of work per classroom in the appropriate category, according to the students' academic year. In exceptional cases, work done by students in more than one category may be accepted, such as work by groups from rural schools or travelling circus school programmes, special support classes, etc.
In such cases, the class will participate in the category that applies to the majority of your students. If there is a draw, then the class will take part in the higher category.
The maximum number of participants per task will be the maximum number of students in the class established by the law in force for each level.
No. To participate, a teacher from the school must register.
This programme is integrated into the educational curriculum and has been developed with the educational situation in mind. Therefore, it does not involve any additional work. The teaching material that we provide allows each educator to carry out in the classroom (depending on their time and possibilities) the contents and activities that they consider appropriate to introduce their students to the theme of the competition and facilitate their subsequent participation work.
The degree of involvement in supervising and helping their students to participate in the competition will be determined by the level of involvement of each teacher. The teacher only undertakes to explain the activity to the students and to send us their work afterwards.
This educational action programme and its teaching materials have been prepared based on the curriculum and can be worked on through the following Core Competences:
No. They are only a tool to assist teachers in their task to introduce this year’s topic to their students and how to tackle the project to be submitted.

A creative CARTEL, explaining an idea to make the environment more inclusive in one of the following areas:
It must be sent online through the teacher's Private Zone in jpg format with a maximum weight of 2MB. The poster will have a title no longer than 140 characters and, in order to facilitate accessibility, will include an audio-description (explaining the poster in a specific and detailed way: images, colours, structure, message...) with a maximum duration of 1 minute. Participants may record this audio-description in the Private Area in their upload area or attach a file in .mp3, .mp4, .wav, .aac or .3gp format.
To create the poster, students can select cuttings from magazines and newspapers, use images from the Internet, take photos themselves or use a mixture of the above options. In addition, they may use all the techniques available to them, from the more traditional ones, such as illustration or collage, to any image-processing software they have at their disposal.
If the work is not digital, it must be photographed or scanned and uploaded to the website as explained above.
The work will consist of making a VIDEO (maximum 1 minute) that communicates a class idea, in order to make the environment more inclusive in one of the following areas:
The maximum length of the audiovisual piece will be 60 seconds. It will be sent online through the teacher's Private Area in .avi/.mp4/.mov format with a maximum weight of 100MB.
The audiovisual piece will be accompanied by a title that will not exceed 140 characters, and the script of the same, to facilitate accessibility.
They will have to create a PROJECT to promote inclusion in the school that includes all students, in one of the four areas: leisure, education, employment and universal accessibility. To do so, they will have to provide a script that will serve as a summary of the proposal to be implemented in the school.
Of course. After the teacher explains what the project to submit should be like, students may spend all the time they want on developing the project outside the classroom.
No, participation is limited to one project per Parents' Association
