Participation in the contest shall be by one project per classroom (one project, one classroom) always within the corresponding category depending on the students' year in school.

Teachers have access to educational materials...
Teachers can access the teaching materials and start participating as soon as they have filled out the registration form, then deciding on the best time to do the project. These materials are not compulsory, but it will make it easier to do the project that will be submitted.
The teaching units in language and accessible PDF will be available the first week of October.

Don’t be too sure of yourselves. We recommend that you don’t wait until the last minute.
So that you can plan out the timeline for doing and completing your project and have the key dates in mind, we are providing you with a downloadable calendar for the 33rd edition of the ONCE contest.
12 September 2016 to 31 January 2017
After a teacher has finished registering to participate, they will receive an email to the email address provided on the form, with their username and password. Teachers can participate from this time on.
PROVINCE-LEVEL PHASE: on 17 March the winning projects in each province will be announced (to find out more, please read the rules). During this phase, the projects submitted by Primary (categories A and B) and Secondary (category C) will be evaluated by the 43 provincial offices of ONCE. One project will be selected from each category for each province that will move up to the next phase. Vocational Training and Baccalaureate projects (category D), as well as Special Education projects (category E) will be evaluated directly in the national phase by a special jury (consult rules).
AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY-LEVEL PHASE: the winners will be announced on 21 April. During this phase, the projects submitted by Primary (categories A and B) and Secondary (category C) will be evaluated by the 17 ONCE offices in each autonomous community, as well as in Ceuta and Melilla. One project will be selected from each category for each autonomous community that will move up to the next phase.
NATIONAL PHASE: on 12 May the winning projects from all categories will be selected (A, B, C, D and E).
